That does not mean every buying committee is researching vendors via Claude, but it does mean Claude is increasingly embedded in the workflows where business problems are defined, solutions are compared, and shortlists begin to form. Thus, “Claude SEO” is the practice of making sure your brand appears accurately and persuasively in those answers.
Claude SEO is narrower and stranger than general AI search optimization, because Claude sources information differently from every other major model. Brave claims an independent index of 40 billion pages, refreshed at more than 100 million pages a day as of February 2026, and says it powers real-time search for most of the ten largest LLMs on the market.
How Do We Rank on Brave?
Brave runs its own independent index of roughly 40 billion pages, crawled by its proprietary bot, BraveBot, rather than pulling results from Google or Bing the way DuckDuckGo or Yahoo do. A strong Google position does not carry over automatically.
Furthermore, being privacy centric, Brave does not track users. With no dwell time or click data to lean on, it puts more weight on signals it can measure directly. Page speed is a big one: Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint, and Cumulative Layout Shift can break the tie between two similar pages.
That being said, structure and trust work the same way as they do on Google. Clean JSON-LD markup (Article, Organization, FAQPage, HowTo, BreadcrumbList) tells Brave what a page is instead of making it guess, and authoritative, topically relevant backlinks stand in as the main proxy for credibility.
Getting indexed also works differently, and this is where most guides go wrong. Brave does not offer a traditional Webmaster Tools dashboard or a direct sitemap upload console, so for high-priority URLs you skip waiting for a natural crawl and pass them into Brave’s standalone queue at search.brave.com/submit-url.
