How We Hire

Aligned and well-positioned.

We do not hire based on a checklist. We hire based on how well-positioned and aligned someone is with us – the way they think, the way they move, and whether they can connect their work to outcomes that matter.

That means full-time hires and internship hires go through the same lens. If a candidate applies for an internship but is genuinely ready for full-time, we will say so. If a full-time applicant would be better served by an internship season first, we wil say that too. We do not let winners slip by.

Read Before You Apply

A few things to know.

These are not requirements — they are signals. Candidates who put effort here tend to stand out. Make it easy for us to say yes.

Show Your Work
A portfolio is not required, but the candidates who stand out almost always show their work. A live portfolio, a Substack, a YouTube channel, GitHub, a Notion site — anything that shows us how you think when no one is grading you.

Make the Cover Letter Specific
Reference Flying V Group by name. Reference the specific role. Tell us why us, not why agencies in general. Generic cover letters get generic responses.

Write in Your Own Voice
We read carefully. AI-generated answers are easy to spot. We encourage the use of AI, but let your personality show as well. Short and sharp in your own voice beats long and polished from a chatbot every time.
